At Canal Vista Family Dental, we are proud to have Dr. Nesrine Bestandji, Family & Emergency Dentist in Princeton & West Windsor, N.J., leading our team of dental health professionals.
Dr. Bestandji grew up watching her father practice dentistry; even as a child, she found teeth and caring for them to be interesting. As she entered college, her love of arts and sciences intertwined with her growing fascination for oral health. After graduating from Rutgers, she went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey in 2010.

A Dentist Who Gives Back
It’s important to Dr. Bestandji to give back to the community where she lives and works. She is glad to be able to volunteer weekly as an attending dentist at the J.F.K. Medical Center, teaching upcoming dental residents. She also participates in the local community health fairs, raising awareness for good dental health.
As a family dentist, Dr. Bestandji strives to promote optimal preventative oral health strategies for patients at the earliest age possible. Through ongoing prevention strategies, we are able to help our Princeton, Plainsboro and West Windsor families limit the risk of painful dental emergencies, complex treatment, and phobia of the dentist’s office.
Continuing Professional Development, Continuing Education
Dr. Bestandji is committed to providing the best dental care possible to her patients. To support that goal, she is an active member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the Spear Study Club. Each association provides opportunities for professional engagement, development, and training. She takes advantage of this, gaining more than 50 hours of lecture and practical continuing education credits every year.
Some of Dr. Bestandji’s key interests include dental implants, ClearCorrect (an invisible aligner alternative to Invisalign braces) and advanced laser dentistry therapy.

Dr. Dr. Bestandji is a very nice and excellent doctor. She is doing treatment in a very soft-handed and excellent way. My child loves her. Canal Vista is very clean, and the staff there is good. Dr Bestandji installed my second Dental Implant - She took her time, used precision skill & tools to hone down the implant. It took about 6 or 7 tiny, precise adjustments, and she nailed it to perfection! The implant looks & feels great! Both her & the assistant made this painless & comfortable for me. Another Outstanding job by Dr Bestandji & team!

Out of The Office
After our Princeton dental office closes for the day, Dr. Bestandji enjoys spending her time with her husband and two children, a son and a daughter. She has many interests and hobbies to pursue with them, including cooking, traveling, swimming, and shopping, as well as her lifetime love of art and sculpture. But her patients might be surprised to find out that Dr. Bestandji is also a lover of thrilling experiences, like zip lining! She’s also fluent in multiple languages, including French and Arabic. And here’s another interesting tidbit: she’s one of the 10% of New Jersey population who is left handed!

Dr. Bestandji loves the area around Princeton, New Jersey. Between its rich culture, vibrant multiculturalism, and location near New York City and Philadelphia, she determined it was the perfect place to put down professional roots. In early 2017, she purchased Canal Vista Family Dental from its the previous owner, who established a practice in our location over 25 years ago. With this small, family dental office, she strives to provide the highest standard of care while incorporating excellent materials choices for all of her patients.
