Dentures: See How We Help NJ Patients Here

Types of Dentures: Missing Teeth Solutions

Canal Vista Family Dental offers a full line of custom dentures at our Princeton, NJ,  dentist’s office to meet all of your tooth replacement needs. Dr. Bestandji will work to have a custom appliance made for your particular fit and aesthetic concerns, using the best materials available.

Acrylic Partial Dentures

This type of denture works great for our patients that are only missing one or a few teeth.  Acrylic partial dentures are comfortable to wear and an economical investment.

Metal Framework Partial Dentures

For our patients with several missing teeth, a metal framework partial works best.  The portion that sits along the roof of your mouth, or inside (along the tongue) is made of metal, making it durable enough to last for many, many years.

If you have one of these types of partials and need to have another tooth removed, our dental lab can easily add another “tooth” onto the partial for you.

Clear Framework Partial Denture

If you have a few missing teeth and replacing them in the most aesthetically pleasing manner is a top priority (such as areas that are visible when you smile,) we can create a cosmetic partial denture with no visible metal.

Traditional Full Dentures

Perhaps you’re missing all of your teeth and need a set of full dentures.  Dr. Bestandji will go through a multi-step process with you to help ensure that the end product you receive looks and feels best as possible.  In order to best serve our Princeton dentures patients, we pay close attention to the size, shape, and color of your teeth and gum tissue on the prosthesis. Conventional dentures are often the most affordable way to replace all of your missing teeth.

Immediate Full Dentures (Same Day Dentures in New Jersey)

Do you several bad teeth and plan to have them pulled? With our immediate denture option, you don’t have to go without teeth.  Your appliance is made in advance, so that it’s placed immediately in your mouth on the same day as your scheduled extractions.

With immediate dentures, you’ll go through a period where the prosthesis gradually becomes loose.  This is completely normal and happens as your gum heals from the extractions, causing it to shrink.  Once your gums are fully healed, then we can reline the inside of your denture to make it fit properly.

Implant Supported Dentures

For some patients, an implant supported denture (also known as an overdenture) or permanent All-on-4 implant restoration may be an option.  In this case, Dr. Bestandji will refer you to have a specialist place your implants and then we will deliver the overdenture or fixed appliance that attaches into place on top of them. No gooey adhesives or pastes are needed! Sometimes existing dentures can be retrofitted to snap onto dental implants for added security.

With implants holding your denture in, an upper appliance can be streamlined in shape, following just the contour of your jaw (similar to a multi-tooth dental bridge.) As such, they can be permanently anchored into place so that nothing is taken in and out.
